About Us

The South Western Counties Cat Club was formed in 1931 and is a member club of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy.  Our President is Mrs Diana Harper and our Vice President is Mrs Susan Newman.  The Club is one of the longest established area cat clubs and celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2001.  We hold a Championship Show each year in September and will be holding our 66th show this year on Saturday, 28th September, in conjunction with the South-West British Shorthair Cat Club, at Wellsprings Leisure Centre, Cheddon Road, TAUNTON  TA2 7QP  (schedule available late June) .

Our Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday 14th April at the Passage House Hotel, Newton Abbot.

We also aim to promote the welfare of cats in the South West, and work hard to help pedigree cats that need rehoming.
